Oaklands Farm Eggs Ltd are a well
established family business based in the heart of Shropshire
and owned by J A & O Griffiths and Sons. Generations of
acquired knowledge.
It now ranks among Europe’s elite
and it remains just as passionate about producing healthy birds
and nutritious quality eggs and egg products as the day it
started in 1967 with first generation farmers, Aled and Olwen
Griffiths. It produces nearly 500 million eggs a year and is
now managed by sons Gareth and Elwyn, who continue to reach new
levels of excellence for products, welfare and food safety.
A Team Approach
The business employs around 110 people,
many have worked on the farm for years and even through
generations.
Oaklands Philosophy
The philosophy first set out over 40
years ago still remains - produce a
product the market wants and have full control of the business.
These goals continue to be surpassed
which has led to the Griffiths’ considerable knowledge
and enthusiasm for egg production.
The laying farm’s birds are all
reared from day old chicks to help ensure high levels of
welfare and traceability. A vastly experienced team of stock
people strive to produce healthy birds that produce first class
eggs. Detailed records are kept on all aspects of bird welfare
and husbandry.
