Oaklands were the first packer in the UK to
ensure 100% of its eggs are stamped for traceability. Each
farmer puts their unique number onto every egg the day it is
laid. All eggs leaving the farm are permanently marked for
complete traceability. The eggs are marked
with the method of production, the country of origin and the
farm’s unique identity number.
All Oakland’s farm suppliers stamp
their eggs on the farm of origin prior to delivery to the
Oaklands Farm packing
centre, creating a crucial traceability
check for the
consumer. Oakland’s recognise the
need to reassure their customers of the source of their eggs
and acknowledge the cost implication of stamping egg production
and so provide its dedicated producers with the print unit and
all consumables.
